Pearl Qatar Marina wins Instagram Contest

Haja Javed Ahmed, a 10th standard student of DPS Modern Indian School, is the winner of Gulf Times Instagram Contest 12.
The winning photo, ‘Pearl-Qatar Marina’ that stood apart for its vividness and a partial view of the Pearl-Qatar in the background, was the first ever picture that Haja has sent for any competition.
For Haja, who came to Qatar as a one-year-old toddler 14 years ago, photography is his favourite hobby. He says it gives him sheer happiness and pleasure.

Haja’s father Habib Mohamed, an Indian expat, works for Qatar Fertilizer Company.

The 13th instalment of the competition starts today. Send your photos shot in Qatar to: tellus@gulf-times.com
 Shortlisted pictures will be posted on the Gulf Times Instagram account, with the name of the photographer mentioned.
The picture that gets the maximum number of likes and unique comments during a seven-day period will be
declared the winner.
A like will get the picture one mark and a unique comment will fetch two marks.
The winning picture will be published in the Gulf Times print edition as well as on the web edition of Gulf Times, along with the picture and a short bio of the photographer.
