BMW’s most expensive model to be unveiled at motor show

Alfardan Automobiles, the official BMW Group importer in Qatar, will unveil the all-new BMW M2 Coupé and the 7 Series Solitaire edition at the sixth edition of the Qatar Motor Show, taking place from January 27 to February 1.
The 7 Series Solitaire edition, exclusive for the region with only six made, is the most expensive model-ever made by BMW.
“The M2 Coupé and 7 Series Solitaire model will be one of the main attractions at this year’s motor show,” said Alfardan Automobiles general manager Ihab Allam.
“The regional debut of the BMW M2 Coupé highlights the importance of the Qatari market, especially for the M models as the biggest market in the Middle East for the performance cars from BMW,” he explained.
The all-new BMW M2 Coupé brings with it a high-performance six-cylinder in-line engine, rear-wheel-drive agility, lightweight aluminium M Sport suspension and extrovert styling.
The newly developed, three-litre six-cylinder in-line engine in the new BMW M2 Coupé deploys cutting edge M TwinPower Turbo technology to develop 272 kW/370hp at 6,500 rpm. Peak torque of 465 Nm (343 lb-ft) can be increased to as much as 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) in short bursts under overboost. All of which enables the new BMW M2 Coupe with an optional seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission (M DCT) and Launch Control to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just  4.5 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.
The BMW 7 Series Solitaire is part of the BMW Individual programme that enables customers to tailor their vehicle to a bespoke design that suits their individual style using a range of premium materials, paints and interior trims. The debut of the model highlights the importance of the region as the third largest in the world for the 7 Series.
Stand-out features of the luxurious Solitaire includes a sparkling exterior colour with glass flakes. The model comes with full leather interior in BMW Individual Tartufo Brown with white woven piping and includes floor trim panel and floor mats made from lamb’s wool, adding a delicate accent to the design. These softer details perfectly contrast the luxury and elegance of the dashboard’s black piano lack trim and Arabic inspired Pearl inlays.
Five carats of diamonds are present in each car on the wood trim, dashboard, side panels and key, further accentuating the exclusivity of the limited edition model.
