The Foreign Ministries of Qatar and Turkmenistan yesterday signed an executive programme for bilateral co-operation, guided by the Memorandum of Consultations (MOC) signed by the two sides in Doha in October 2010.
The programme was signed by HE the Assistant Foreign Minister for Foreign Affairs Mohamed bin Abdullah al-Rumaihi and Turkmenistan’s First Deputy Foreign Minister Wafa Khadzhiev in Doha yesterday.
The programme stipulates undertaking various activities over 2016-2017 including:
Holding consultations on bilateral topics, at the level of foreign ministers or their representatives, heads of departments or their representatives from the two Foreign Ministries on means of developing bilateral relations between the two countries, working within the framework of international organisations and the United Nations with respect to matters listed on the agenda of the 71th Session of the UN General Assembly, co-operating in the field of trade and economy and consulting on consular affairs, in addition to a number of issues of common interest between the two countries.
