Qatari Minister of Economy and Commerce HE Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohamed al-Thani has held a series of meetings, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos - Switzerland, with a number of ministers participating in the forum. The minister met separately with Saudi Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr Tawfiq al-Rabiah, UAE Minister of Economy Eng. Sultan bin Saeed al-Mansouri, and Argentine Minister of Economy Bert Kyi. Discussions during the meetings dealt with aspects of economic, commercial and investment co-operation. They also exchanged views on the topics on the agenda of the forum, especially the repercussions of falling oil prices.
Qatar minister attends Bahrain Air Show
Qatari Minister of Transport HE Jassim bin Seif Ahmed al-Sulaiti attended in Manama yesterday the opening of Bahrain International Air Show (BIAS 2016) at the Sakhir Air Base. It was opened by Sheikh Abdulla bin Hamad al-Khalifah, Personal Representative of the Bahraini King, Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee of the show, with participation of 139 companies and 75 delegations. High-level delegations from Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Turkey, USA, Czech Republic, Georgia, India, Russia, France, Hungary, UK, US, Turkey, and Brazil are attending the show. Meanwhile, HE al-Sulaiti met with his Bahraini counterpart Kamal Ahmed Mohamed to discuss bilateral ties in transportation field and means to develop them.
