Woqod opens Sawda Natheel service station

Qatar Fuel (Woqod) has opened its 32nd service station in the Sawda Natheel area on Salwa Road, in line with its commitment to meet the fuel and energy needs of Qatar, and as part of the company’s ongoing expansion plans to grow its network of service stations locally.

Under the patronage of Woqod chairman Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, the new petrol station was opened by Woqod CEO Ibrahim Jaham al-Kuwari.

The petrol station is spread over a 10,000-metre area and has six lanes. It will serve the neighbourhood of Swada Natheel area on Salwa Road. The station will offer round-the-clock services, including Sidra convenience store, Kenar shops, auto wash, and repair and sale of LPG cylinders.

Al-Kuwari said: “The new opening reflects our ambitious plans to expand our network and accessibility within Qatar in order to cater to the growing needs of the local market, and ensure that high-quality products and services are available to all our customers at their convenience across the country.”

The service station is the first new opening completed by Woqod in 2016. The station is equipped with high-speed diesel dispenser for heavy vehicles.

Seventeen other petrol stations are currently under construction and six stations are in the tendering and design stages. Most of these projects are expected to be operational within 2016.
