The fun-filled, five-hole Texas Scramble challenge match is held every year ahead of the Qatar Masters to let young and budding local golfers gain an experience they can relish besides also helping them develop their game. A total of 12 juniors took part in the Challenge Match this year, up from nine last year and six in 2014. The 12 youngsters were led by Garcia, an 11-time European Tour winner and seven-time Ryder Cup representative, four-time Major winner Ernie Els and 2010 Open champion Louis Oosthuizen.
