Temporary closure near Duhail

A temporary partial closure will be in place from Wednesday, January 28 at Jeryan Nejaima roundabout in the directions to Jelaiha Street and Al Duhail Street as shown on the attached map. The closure which starts at 10 am will last until until 5 a m on January 31 (Sunday).

During the period, the traffic from Al Jelaiha Street towards the Arab League Street Southbound will have to continue straight to Al Duhail Street, make a U-turn at the roundabout where Al Duhail and Environment streets meet, then turn right to the Arab League Street.

The traffic from Al Duhail Street and heading towards the Arab League Street Northbound, will have to continue straight to Al Jelaiha Street, make a U-turn at the traffic signal across from the Qatar University entrance for girls, and turn right onto the Arab League Street (as shown in the attached map).

The closure is effected to facilitate the partial opening of the Jeryan Nejaima intersection at the beginning of next week. This comes as part of the works to convert a number of roundabouts into signalised intersections in order to enhance the traffic flow in the area.
