Renault brings ‘excitement of F1 onto roads of Qatar’

Saleh Al Hamad Al Mana Company, Renault’s exclusive agent in Qatar, has launched the new Renault Clio RS at the ongoing Qatar Motor Show 2016 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre.
The Renault Clio RS is a demonstration of Renault’s road to innovation, and embodies a remarkable assemblage of speed, design and performance.
Designed by Renault Sport, the Clio RS boasts simple, yet, warm, sensuous lines that pump adrenaline in just the first look. To this, the brand has created myriad sporting hallmarks such as specific bumpers and sills, twin exhaust tail-pipes and large-diameter wheels – which are synonymous with high performance and F1.
The model’s confident sporty appeal seeps in through the interior, with visible splotches of red details offering a striking contrast to the elegant black trim. The colour red rings in the notion of ‘passion’, and has been used generously to convey the sporty additions introduced by Renault.
Not just in appeal, the Clio RS is distinctively sporty even in its performance. The combination of the 1.6 turbocharged petrol engine and twin-clutch six-speed gearbox lends a unique responsiveness to the model. With its 200hp, the Clio RS reaches its peak torque of 240Nm from just 1,750rpm.
In addition to its cutting-edge performance, the model also sets new standards in efficiency and environmental sensitivity, with an average fuel consumption of 6.3 litres/100km. Top-of-the-range standard equipment and infotainment systems embellish the package.
Declan McCluskey, general manager, automotive at Saleh Al Hamad Al Mana Co, said: “It is a proud moment for us as we announce the launch of the all new Renault Clio RS in Qatar. The model is a celebration of Renault’s novelty in sports technology, and we are elated to bring the overwhelming excitement of F1 onto the roads of Qatar.
“The Clio RS is characterised by a multi-faceted sporting personality that has been specifically designed to suit the varying moods of the driver, and delivers a top-notch performance for every type of journey. We welcome car enthusiasts in the country to explore the sporty prowess of the Clio RS at the Qatar Motor Show, and get a closer perspective into our state-of-the-art engineering.”
