QIC rebrands, launches new website for personal products

Qatar Insurance Group (QIC) has rebranded and launched its new online platform for personal insurance products under the name ‘QIC Insured’.
The Middle East’s largest insurance group said the revamped website would provide a “true one-stop solution” for personal insurance products.
Salem al-Mannai, deputy group president and CEO, QIC-Mena, said the online platform has had “significant growth” since its launch some two years ago.
“Building on our vast experience with personal lines for more than 50 years, we introduced online sales of the personal insurance products some two years ago, which from the very inception was a great success. We are now ready to build on those experiences and radically change our service offerings and brand positioning,” al-Mannai said.
The revamped website, he said, would provide easy access to customers, where they would be able to buy a product by following a few steps.
Al-Mannai said, “We understand that the most important aspects when selecting personal insurance are trust, customer service and price. We are placing ourselves to keep the pole position on all these three aspects in Qatar. With the rebranding and launch of our new platform, we will further cement our position as the leading insurance company in Qatar and the region”
“Besides focusing even more on ease of use, convenience and offering the right products at the right price, the new online platform introduces a very modern brand under the name QIC Insured,” he said.
The ‘U’ smiley in the ‘QIC Insured’ bears the colours of the QIC Group and “underlines the focus on customer service and friendliness” that is built in to the online solutions and related call centre services.
“The focus is and has always been on customers’ convenience. They want to manage their financial transaction as simple as possible”, points out Frederik Bisbjerg, QIC executive vice president (Mena Retail).
He said adequate safeguards have been taken to ensure that the revamped website is very safe and secure and there in absolutely no room for online fraud.
Bisbjerg said a large number of customers did not want to go anywhere to renew their insurance. QIC has considerable experience dealing with its customers, and clearly knows what their preferences are and how to redress their grievances.
“Now with this one-stop solution they are able to buy any personal insurance product; be it for car, home or travel, very conveniently from a place and time of their choice,” he said.
The company’s customers in Oman would also be able to benefit from the new facility from today like those in the UAE and Kuwait.
Bisbjerg said the rebranding would help QIC to “take the competition head on.”
QIC’s call centres have also been strengthened to assist customers, he said.
Customers can access the revamped QIC website for personal insurance products at www.qic-online.com.
