HE the Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohamed al-Thani yesterday called for increasing trade ties between Qatar and Tajikistan.
The minister was speaking at the second meeting of the Joint Qatari-Tajik committee for economic co-operation.
The Tajik side was led by Minister of Economic Development and Trade Nematullo Hikmatullozoda.
HE Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim in his speech reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and expressed the desire to enhance co-operation in all fields.
The two sides reviewed relations in the trade and investment fields. They also explored opportunities in many other sectors, including transport, energy, industry, mining, education, agriculture and tourism.
The committee agreed to take the necessary steps that will facilitate increasing bilateral trade.
