Aspire Zone preferred venue for 24 organisations to celebrate NSD

Aspire Zone will be transformed into a giant sports field as citizens and residents get together to celebrate National Sport Day (NSD) with the park featuring a number of unique sporting activities and a fun-filled atmosphere.
This year, 24 organisations and companies will be hosting activities in Aspire Zone, of which 14 will be open to public. These are in addition to the wide range of activities being organised by Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) and its member organisations in the park’s spacious fields and across its modern facilities.
AZF Event manager Abdullah al-Khater said: “Many prominent institutions and companies from a number of the country’s most important sectors have chosen Aspire Zone Foundation to celebrate NSD with their employees and families. This reflects widespread confidence in the Foundation’s organisational capabilities when it comes to hosting such mega events. Our well-equipped, world-class facilities and venues make Aspire the destination of choice for many organisations and companies, some of which are celebrating NSD with us for the fifth consecutive year, such as RasGas. We will do everything possible to ensure a remarkable event.”
NSD plays an important role in fulfilling the objectives of the Qatar National Vision 2030, specifically the human development pillar, which encourages people to participate in sports activities. By engaging organisations and their employees to contribute to NSD activities, the event helps to support the health of Qatar’s population, both now and in the future.
Aspire Zone also supports people with special needs to access its venues and facilities, truly making Aspire Zone the ideal destination for all.
Through all its activities and programmes, AZF is focused on promoting healthy lifestyles and enhancing awareness amongst participants of the importance of sport. As this is a goal shared by a number of health organisations in Qatar, several have chosen AZF as the place to celebrate the occasion of NSD. These include the Ministry of Health, Hamad Medical Corporation and Qatar Diabetes Association.
As a destination to celebrate National Sports Day, AZF is both the largest in Qatar in terms of space as well as the range and number of activities featured. This is one of the major reasons why numerous oil and gas companies and organisations from the oil and gas sector have selected AZF as the location to host their NSD activities. These include the Ministry of Energy and Industry as well as prominent oil and gas companies such as Qatar Petroleum, Tasweeq, RasGas, Muntajat and Qatar Shell in partnership with Qatar Football Association.
A number of government entities have also selected AZF as the place to hold their NSD activities and programmes this year. These include the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics, the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, Qatar Stock Exchange, the National Human Rights Committee and Qatar Center for Voluntary Activities, as well as El Jaish Sports Club among others.
