Medina Centrale’s ‘family fun’ attracts more footfall

The weekly “Family Fun” featuring several entertainment shows at the Pearl-Qatar’s Medina Centrale, enthralled dozens of visitors both children and adults yesterday.

The event features the four-hour ‘Juggler Show’ held at the pedestrian-friendly Town Centre, Medina Centrale Piazzas. Visitors still have the chance to watch the show on February 12 and 19.
Stilt walkers and cartoon characters also wowed spectators with their antics performed in a carnival-like setting and vehicle-free street. Activities such as balloon twisting, face painting and drawing for children also added to the fun.

“We believe pedestrian-only zone during the weekend has increased the footfall on Medina Centrale and enhanced the street-level buzz and vibrancy in the precinct,” said Hussain Akbar al-Baker, marketing and communications director at United Development Company (The Pearl-Qatar’s master developer).
“With the setting up of kids’ entertainment zone, we now expect to draw more families with young children,” he added.
Medina Centrale, The Town Centre of The Pearl-Qatar, is a unique blend of residential, shopping and leisure experiences, influenced by the charming ambience of the Mediterranean.
A traditional design cleverly combining the nostalgic old-look style with modern convenience, Medina Centrale boasts more than 160 retail stores, 40 restaurants and cafes – all situated in this vibrant Pearl community.
In addition, a world class 10-screen state-of-the-art Novo Cinemas, the Middle East’s largest chain of theatres, boast standout features using the next-generation projection and sound system.
