Qatar role in promoting human rights hailed

President of the Arab Network of National Human Rights (ANNHRI), Dr Musa Burayzat, yesterday praised Qatar’s great role in preserving and promoting human rights in all fields, and stressed the role being played by Qatar to enhance human rights internally and externally.
In an interview with Arabic newspaper Al Rayyah, Dr Burayzat said Qatar’s attention to human rights and freedom is not limited to the internal level, “as we are witnessing Qatar’s action at the regional and international levels intended to embody and support of human rights for a better life.”
In this context, he pointed out to Qatar’s role aimed at achieving peace in Darfur and supporting the Palestinian cause regionally and internationally, referring to Qatar’s multiple calls across the platforms of the UN to protect the Palestinian nation from the arrogance of the Israeli occupation, restore their usurped rights, and provide them with a decent living.
He also hailed the reconstruction process undertaken by Qatar in the Gaza Strip.
Qatar’s charitable efforts are being led around the world in Asia and Africa to provide all types of assistance dealing with human rights and decent living, Dr Burayzat said.
