A nearly six-month closure on the northbound lane of East Industrial Street leading to Doha for approximately 250m ( as shown in the map) will be in place from Thursday.
During the period, traffic on the closed section of East Industrial Street will be diverted to the opposite side of the road (southbound lane), which has been divided to contain both directions (to and from Doha city), with one lane in each direction.
The diversion will have only a minimal impact on traffic flow and vehicles will continue to have full access to all properties, according to Ashghal authorities.
This diversion is required to start the construction works of the East West Corridor Interchange with Al Aziziya Street Extension as part of the East West Corridor Expressway project.
