Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) showcased the Hamad Healthcare Quality Institute (HHQI) at the Arab Health exhibition last week with the aim of building a network of regional healthcare providers to better understand and act on challenges faced by caregivers in the GCC.
HMC established HHQI with the single-minded purpose of improving the quality of healthcare within HMC, Qatar and the greater region.
Nasser Saeed al-Naimi, deputy chief quality officer and co-director for HHQI, stated that HMC was committed to continuing on its journey of quality improvement. “The Institute was created to introduce the latest innovations and evidence-based healthcare solutions. HHQI embraces the roles of innovation, design, improvement, research, training and implementation, to create a first-of-its kind resource in the region that enables sustainable healthcare improvement,” al-Naimi added.
“Arab Health provides an ideal platform for HMC to interact with healthcare leaders from around the globe to build relationships, showcase progress and achievements, and explore new opportunities with healthcare providers, equipment suppliers and quality improvement experts” said Ali al-Khater, chief communications officer, HMC.
In addition, expanding its regional network of healthcare providers, HHQI used the exhibition as a platform to announce the fourth Middle East Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare (Middle East Forum), the leading healthcare quality improvement
conference in the region.
Led by HHQI, the ME Forum will be held from May 13 to 15 at Qatar National Convention Centre and reinforces the partnership between HMC and the US-based Institute for Healthcare Improvement, a not-for-profit organisation that is a leading innovator in health and healthcare improvement worldwide.
