All emergency departments at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) will operate as usual today, notwithstanding the official holiday on account of National Sport Day.
But the outpatient department clinics at Hamad General Hospital, Al Wakra Hospital, Heart Hospital, National Centre for Cancer Care and Research (NCCCR), The Cuban Hospital and Al Khor Hospital will be closed.
Al Wakra Hospital’s dental, physiotherapy and gynecology out-patient sections will also remain closed. Though NCCCR’s day care unit, including the OPD pharmacy and laboratory, will be closed, its urgent care section will remain open round-the-clock as usual.
At The Cuban Hospital, elective surgery patients who already have bookings for today will be contacted if there is any change to their schedule.
Al Khor Hospital’s obstetrics/gynaecology and dental clinics will be closed while the Inpatient Pharmacy as well as the Accident and Emergency Pharmacy will be open 24 hours. Women’s Hospital OPD clinics will be closed but the pharmacy will operate as usual.
At Rumailah Hospital, patients will be attended to in Treatment Room Three from 7am to 3pm at the Communicable Disease Clinic while the four evening clinics will operate as usual from 4pm to 9pm. The Psychiatry Department will be open from 7am to 3pm. All clinics in the dermatology, dental, plastic surgery and geriatrics departments will be closed today. However, there will be on-call doctors for all closed clinics.
