Etihad Airways flies in Doha Dash participants

Etihad Airways has celebrated its successful participation in this year’s commemoration of National Sport Day as the official airline partner of Doha Dash.
The sponsor airline has flown in many of the participants to Qatar’s annual public sporting event, one of them being gold medallist Dame Kelly Holmes. The event is aimed at promoting the health and wellbeing of Qatar’s citizens and residents.
Also, 200 of Etihad Airways’ staff and their families, guests and corporate/travel trade partners were invited on behalf of the airline to participate in the 3km, 5km and 10km races of Doha Dash.
Houssam Weiss, general manager of Etihad Airways in Qatar, said: “National Sport Day is one of the most important events in the country’s yearly sports calendar of activities. Apart from having successfully promoted a healthy and active lifestyle among its people, it has also strengthened family ties and brought friends and colleagues closer together to engage in sport activities that have tremendous benefits to their health and wellbeing.
“As our way of giving back to the community for welcoming us into their home, we at Etihad Airways look forward to continuously supporting this great nation by actively participating in such activities, especially those that promote a deep sense of community through fun-filled and extremely beneficial endeavours.”
Etihad Airways offers four daily flights between Doha and Abu Dhabi that enable travellers from Qatar to connect to the airline’s numerous destinations across the world.
