GWC wins ‘Leading Domestic Logistics Service Provider 2016’ award

Qatar’s leading logistics provider GWC has again been named the ‘Leading Domestic Logistics Service Provider 2016’ at the ‘GIL Global Best Practices Awards’ ceremony held in Saudi Arabia.
Recognising the company’s commitment to developing bespoke logistics infrastructure in line with the nation’s aim to diversify its economic sectors in-line with the Qatar National Vision 2030, the award was presented to GWC’s Corporate Communications manager Mohamed Daoud during the award ceremony held by Frost & Sullivan in Al-Khobar.
The Frost and Sullivan GIL Global Best Practices Awards celebrated their seventh consecutive year in 2015, bringing together a global network of thinkers, visionaries, and thought-leaders working together to leverage innovation as a resource to address global challenges.
The announcement of the award comes close on the heels of GWC posting a net profit of QR185.2mn in 2015, up 32% on the previous year.
“Having established a strong foundation in the local economic landscape, GWC has demonstrated the resiliency and flexibility needed to maintain its foothold in the market during the current economic environment,” Daoud said.
“The company will continue to work diligently to deliver upon its clients’ needs and the sector alike, ensuring steady growth in the future.”
GWC is the leading provider of logistics and supply chain solutions in the Qatar. Established as a Qatari shareholding company in 2004; the company offers warehousing and distribution services, hazmat logistics, freight forwarding, project logistics, sports and event logistics, equestrian logistics, fine art logistics, supply chain consulting, transportation management, records management, and door-to-door moving and relocation services.
