Nakilat, the shipping arm of Qatar’s liquefied natural gas sector and its joint ventures, Nakilat-Keppel Offshore and Marine (N-KOM), Nakilat Damen Shipyards Qatar (NDSQ) and Nakilat SvitzerWijsmuller (NSW), celebrated National Sport Day.
Nakilat aimed to engage its employees in healthy activities that can be conducted without the need for special equipment or knowledge.
Nakilat employees, their families and children arrived at the new Onaiza Park in the morning and participated in the fun-filled event throughout the day.
The employees enjoyed a wide array of activities, such as football matches, volleyball, basketball, marathon, table-tennis and other activities. The celebration of National Sport Day aims to motivate the community of
Qatar to become more active.
“As part of the National Sport Day celebrations, Nakilat aims to raise awareness on the importance of protecting the values of a healthy lifestyle. Such as event is part of Qatar’s vision in creating a healthy community. The organisation is honoured and delighted to have played its part in promoting physical education, athletics, recreation and sustainable development among the community in compliance with Qatar National Vision 2030,” according to a statement.
