Ooredoo and Qatar Sports For All Federation, in co-operation with the Ministry of Culture and Sports, launched a new mobile app as part of celebrating the National Sport Day (NSD).
The app enables users to easily find the directions to their nearest sports arenas for them to practice their favourite sports and stay fit 365 days a year.
“Living a healthy year-round lifestyle is really important, which is why we’ve teamed with the Ministry of Culture and Sports to develop the helpful Sport For All App,” Ooredoo’s Community and Public Relations director Fatima Sultan al-Kuwari said.
“This year’s NSD event was our most fitness orientated yet, and we are proud of everyone who turned up, worked out and showed how strong they are.”
Thousands of participants took part in Ooredoo’s all-day NSD celebrations at the Museum of Islamic Art Park. The event focused on getting visitors to think about their fitness levels and strength this year.
A host of classes and trainers to help the whole community get into shape with a number of sporting and physical activities such as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, a walking group, gladiator joust, circuit training, football, kayaking among others were a feature of the celebrations.
The celebration also highlighted the commitment of Ooredoo, Qatar Sports For All Federation and the Ministry of Culture and Sports to provide support and raise awareness on the importance of healthy living.
