Josoor Institute has begun registration for two professional development workshops that are being delivered in partnership with Qatar University.
Josoor is a centre of excellence for the sports and events industries, and is inspired and developed by the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC).
The first workshop, titled ‘Marketing and PR for Sport and Major Events’ is set to take place from February 29 – March 1, 2016, and will examine the role of marketing and Public Relations (PR) in the success of the sports and events industries in Qatar and the Mena region. The workshop will focus on emerging trends, challenges and opportunities faced by professionals working in sports PR and marketing, and is presented from both marketing and PR industry perspectives.
The second workshop, ‘Creating High Performance Sports Organisations’ will take place from March 2 – 3, 2016. The workshop is developed around the themes of organisational effectiveness, change and innovation, and trains professionals working for sports organisations to face the rapidly changing and competitive sports environment, and to increase the performance of their organisation by embracing innovation.
Both workshops are a unique learning opportunity and a major career development step, especially tailored to address the challenges from the local and regional context. In Qatar, sport has already been embraced as part of the national identity, and the sports and events industries are used as vehicles for development and branding for the country.
The application deadline is February 28, 2016. More details are available at www.josoorinstitute.qa.
