Ezdan Mall hosts ‘green community’ get-together

Ezdan Mall, an Ezdan Holding Group subsidiary, has hosted a “Green Community” gathering.
The event featured discussions on the challenges faced by the environment.
The participants proposed alternative means of achieving sustainable development plans as well as the most effective ways of preserving natural resources against pollution and degradation.
The initiative comes in the context of the #Green Dream 2022 campaign organised by Ezdan Mall, which aims to raise awareness about the importance of protecting the environment.
Environmental experts, senior diplomats from different countries, volunteers, mall visitors, technical experts, environment enthusiasts as well as school administrators and students attended.
Ezdan Mall general manager Malik Qaiser Awan said the mall is gearing up to grow a garden in the outdoor area, which will produce organic vegetables. The mall’s management has applied various environmental concepts, such as innovative and easy waste recycling, installing energy-saving bulbs and implementing alternative ways of reducing energy consumption, such as the use of solar energy.
Ezdan Mall recently collaborated with a number of organisations to implement projects as part of the #Green Dream 2022 campaign and achieve tangible results.
Along with its campaign, Ezdan Mall has implemented a number of innovative environmental projects. These include planting vegetation around the mall and collaborating with various schools in Qatar to organise trips, workshops as well as cultural and entertainment activities to instil environment protection values and culture among students.
Earlier, a wall garden was set up on the ground floor of the mall consisting of about 2,650 plants from 16 species.
