AlFaisal Without Borders (ALF) Foundation and Qatar Centre for Voluntary Activities (QCVA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that will facilitate the sharing of skills and knowledge in training between the two organisations.
The move by the two organisations is aimed at strengthening each other’s capabilities in their respective core activities, according to a statement.
Under the terms of the MoU, QCVA will provide ALF Foundation with volunteers. In exchange, the foundation will conduct training for the volunteers and give them the details of events they are participating in before deploying them.
“ALF Foundation remains steadfast in pursuing and achieving our aspiration of being a leading global humanitarian organisation,” said Abdullatif al-Yafei, general manager of ALF Foundation.   
The MoU represents a “landmark agreement between two respected entities in Qatar as it marks the first time that two organisations involved in humanitarian and volunteer work have teamed up in pursuit of noble causes,” the statement points out.
Aisha Jassim al-Kuwari, chairperson of QCVA, said: “It is indeed our pleasure to be working with such a well-established and respected humanitarian organisation as ALF Foundation.”
ALF Foundation and QCVA have a shared vision of providing innovative development opportunities for individuals and communities, including in the field of volunteer work, said Ali Talal Mar’e, ALF Foundation’s executive director. “We wish to thank Qatar Centre for Voluntary Activities for this partnership as we look forward to working closely together with them on future projects,” he added.
The ALF Foundation has had extensive experience in collaborating with overseas-based charitable organisations, such as the Inner-City Muslim Action Network in the US and Mosaic, a UK-based charitable organisation founded by Prince Charles.
The foundation endeavours to pursue such partnerships with other organisations, whether local or overseas, that promote a common vision and objective.
