Ooredoo ‘smart shop’ to offer new experience at Pearl-Qatar

Ooredoo officially opened its newest “smart shop” at The Pearl-Qatar this week in a celebration inaugurated by Sheikh Saud bin Nasser al-Thani, Group chief executive officer, Ooredoo.
The new Ooredoo shop, which is located in Medina Centrale (opposite Novo Cinemas), is set in a prime location for residents and visitors to access its facilities.
The shop hosts some of the latest customer service technologies to ensure a smoother and improved experience for visitors, according to a statement.
Speaking at the opening, Waleed al-Sayed, CEO of Ooredoo Qatar, said: “Our new state-of-the-art shop at The Pearl raises the bar in terms of intelligent design and a better customer experience. Not only does the shop enable paperless transactions, it also deploys the latest digital solutions such as digital banners, electronic brochures and our new Queue Management solution. It has a fully-trained team that is eager and ready to help, smarter technology on offer, and the latest information on all our deals available.”
The new facility is the first fully paperless Ooredoo shop, offering a “one-stop shop” for customers seeking services such as Hala, Shahry, Broadband, fixed line and business services.
In addition, the shops will provide SIM replacements, Hala top-ups and enables Mozaic and fixed line customers to migrate to Ooredoo tv, the new all-in-one entertainment service launched this week.
As part of the vision of moving to paper-free service in order to reduce the use of natural resources, all the forms that are needed to sign up, upgrade or register for Ooredoo services are now available through a fully paperless process.
This is made possible by a specially-designed online system supporting easy-to-use eForms, the latest eScanning equipment for QID and passports, and eSignatures for digital signatures.
The shop also supports eAcknowledgements, which enable customers to electronically agree to Ooredoo’s terms and conditions and receive digital copies through SMS and e-mail.
In addition, Ooredoo has invested in a next-generation eArchiving system that enables the real-time archiving of customer applications onto the Ooredoo database, offering a safer storage and archiving system for customers’ details as well as an instant method to retrieve applications, the statement said.
Ooredoo has stressed that it aims to continue the expansion of this smart shop model across Qatar in the coming months, with new shops set to launch in new locations.
