HE the Minister of Municipality and Environment Mohamed bin Abdullah al-Rumaihi on Thursday inaugurated Al Khor Park, which has been restored to the highest international standards.
The minister toured the park facilities and was briefed on services being provided.
Al-Rumaihi praised the efforts of all employees involved in the project, noting that the State had allocated a large budget for the park.
The park has been designed to provide best services for the people, including children, especially on holidays.
The minister added that the ministry is planning to increase the number of green areas in the state and districts (Furjan) gardens for its environmental importance.
Al Khor Park, which was opened in 1983, covers an area of 240,000 square metres, and features bright green areas with large trees.
