Ooredoo and Cisco report high demand for Cloud services

Ooredoo is reporting high demand for its Cloud Voice and Collaboration Suite, as more companies look to be connected to smart communications 24/7.
Based on Cisco’s Hosted Collaboration Solution, Ooredoo’s Cloud Voice and Collaboration Suite delivers “next-generation voice telephony services for Qatar’s businesses”, according to a statement.
The solution delivers immersive video conferencing, instant messaging, intelligent voicemail and many other features as standard.
One of the key benefits of the solution is that it is hosted in the “cloud”, so that companies require minimal in-house IT resources and no on-site equipment to manage the services. “The flexible, scalable and secure solution is increasingly being used by companies looking to reduce travel time and manage IT costs more effectively,” the statement notes.
Yousuf Abdulla al-Kubaisi, chief operating officer at Ooredoo Qatar, said: “As well as being able to share information and interact with customers, partners and colleagues in real time – saving on cost and travel time to meetings – Ooredoo’s Cloud Voice and Collaboration Suite makes it possible to replace existing IP Telephony platforms with a next-generation service to offer enhanced features and better reliability for our customers.”
The service was designed to allow businesses to expand their communications services with on-demand scalability and offers businesses collaborative technologies delivered as secure and reliable cloud services.
Ooredoo is planning a series of initiatives with Cisco in Qatar in the coming months as the company looks to enhance the range of next-generation business services available for companies in Qatar.
