Ezdan Hotel Company, one of Ezdan Holding Group’s subsidiaries, recently hosted the “2016 Chinese Spring Festival” celebrations.
The celebrations, which took place in La Perla Hall at Ezdan Hotel West Bay, was attended by Chinese ambassador Li Chen, along with other diplomats from the Chinese Embassy.
Chinese expatriates living in Doha, estimated to be 300, were present at the celebration, which was highlighted by popular Chinese cultural activities and traditional sport shows.
During the event, the Chinese ambassador delivered a speech and praised Ezdan Hotels management for its hospitality in hosting the festival.
He pointed out that this reflects the eagerness of Ezdan Holding Group to tighten the mutual good relations with the Chinese people, in addition to strengthening bonds of cultural co-operation among different cultures living in Qatar.
Ezdan Hotels general manager Hasib Kayali said: “The Chinese Spring Festival is highly-popular in China. We were honoured by the presence of the ambassador and Chinese expatriates. We highly cherish this privilege and hope to bolster such co-operation to host various other events.”
“Choosing our hotel to host such an event reinforces confidence in the quality of our services and performance,” he added.
The festival comes as an addition to the wide array of events and activities hosted by Ezdan Hotels in an effort to highlight its pivotal role in hospitality sector in Qatar. The event also falls within the development strategy of the company, which has recently participated in several international and local sports and scientific events.
