Chopard stall hosts exquisite timepieces, ornaments

An array of exquisite timepieces and diamond ornaments greet visitors at the Chopard stall at this year’s Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition.
The stall is located in the Alfardan Jewellery pavilion at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre, where the exhibition is being held until February 27.
Along with numerous meticulously designed watches and jewels, the Geneva-based brand has also displayed a number of luxury handbags, wallets, sunglasses, belts and other premium accessories.
“This is being done after taking into consideration the passion and penchant of the region’s people for acquiring such premium things,” a company official explained.
Among the limited-edition, made-to-order premium luxury watches are a number of pieces that are priced between QR150,000 and QR200,000. “Some of the pieces exhibited here are specially ordered by local clients, who have great trust and utmost confidence in the abilities of our experienced craftsmen to create such authentic masterpieces, which are not usually seen elsewhere,” the official said.
Many of the pieces displayed, including a Tourbillon watch, studded with 18-carat rose gold and diamond, have taken several months to make at the company’s workshop in Sonvilier, Switzerland.
“Most of the pieces displayed here have taken our craftsmen several months to complete. There are an adequate number of premium models, which are popular among the region’s regular users,” the official added.
While some women’s handbags are priced at QR6,000-7,500, there are sunglasses that cost between QR2,500 and QR3,500.
“There is exceptionally good patronage from local customers for our brand and men’s accessories, too, have a good appeal among the locals,” the official noted.
