Rayyan match will be a tough test, says Flores

Doha: Lekhwiya defender Chico Flores has insisted that his side will have to maintain their focus defensively ahead of their crunch round 20 game against run away league leaders Al Rayyan.
How do you see the Rayyan match going?
The Al Rayyan match will be a tough test. They are the clear league leaders and our playing well, also the timing of the game after a champions league match means this will be a difficult game for us.
Do you think Lekhwiya can win this tie?
We have the potential to win, no doubt. If we are to win, I think we will have to keep our composure throughout the game. Al Rayyan are the leaders and a victory would be important for us moving forward in other competitions.
Who do you think tactically will have the upper hand?
Both sides have good coaches that know the league well. We have a fantastic group of players and we have tactical discipline, we know our duties and what we have to do on the pitch to succeed.
How do you rate Al Rayyan’s attack?
Rayyan have the best strikers in the league, you only need to look at the league table to show that. However I think defensively we are capable of stopping them.

Team work has helped Rayyan succeed: Garcia
Sergo Garcia has stressed that his sides coming clash against second placed Lekhwiya is just like any QSL clash, with the Lions on the brink of lifting the falcon shield since 1994.
Can Al Rayyan continue their winning streak against Lekhwiya?
I think that we certainly have the qualities to do so. We have won seven games in a row now, and confidence is high. We will fight hard against Lekhwiya, we can repeat the same result from the first half of the season.
Why have Al Rayyan been so dominant this season?
I think that our team-work has been a major factor in our wins. We focus on the team in everything that we do, we feel united and strong in training and the games. Al Rayyan feels like a big family.
You are so close to winning the league, will this add to your nerves against Lekhwiya?
The way we are working at the moment, I think that this big game is what we need. We are not nervous of our opponents and I think this situation can help Al Rayyan push on for the league.
Can Al Rayan lift more than one title this season?
Certainly, I think our league performances show that this side can compete for more than one trophy this season.
