Stealing money from car: Expat men get two years jail

A Doha court has sentenced four Ethiopian men to two years in jail for robbery. They are to be deported after serving their sentences, the Doha Criminal Court ordered. Arabic daily Arrayah reported Friday that the men were found guilty of stealing QR110,000 from the car of another expatriate man.

According to the police, the victim received the money from his son to be transferred to another GCC country. He kept the money in his car and parked near an exchange house in Souq Al Attiyah. He went inside the exchange to inquire about the formalities.
When he returned he found one of the glass windows of the car broken and the money missing. He reported the case to the police, who took fingerprints from the car. All clues led to the four men, who admitted their crime. They said they had divided the money among themselves.
