Qatar Career Fair (QCF), a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science, and Community Development (QF), successfully wrapped up its ‘School Career Day’, designed to promote a culture of career awareness and ambition among
Qatari youth.
The event was attended by over 340 high school students from 24 independent schools across the country, as well as academic advisers and career guidance counsellors.
QCF organised two consecutive ‘School Career Days’, with the first day dedicated to male students while females were welcomed on the second day. The programme introduced both sets of students to future career opportunities in-line with their abilities and interests, empowering them to better serve their nation.
The first segment of the event featured information sessions presented by leading Qatari organisations across various sectors such as education, health, sports, finance, energy, industry, aviation, and career development.
Participating organisations included the Qatar Community College, Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Sidra Medical and Research Center, Aspire Zone Foundation, Qatar National Bank, RasGas, Qatar Airways, and Bedaya.
The students were informed of the scholarship and development opportunities available within these companies, allowing individuals to make more informed decisions about the career path they want to pursue.
QCF’s director Abdulla al-Mansoori stated that the ‘School Career Day’ plays an important role in informing young people about the potential career options available to them and their necessary specialisations.
“This will help the generation of tomorrow plan their future at an early stage and succeed in their chosen profession.”
