Leading outdoor advertising company JCDecaux has announced that Elan Decaux has completed the installation of new interactive digital directories in Villaggio.
“The directories are distributed around the mall and are aimed at enhancing the shopping experience of more than 16mn visitors every year,” according to a press statement.
Elan Decaux is a joint venture between Elan Group and JCDecaux.
The bespoke furniture comprises a 42” interactive digital touchscreen loaded with a customised, user-friendly application that is also accessible by disabled people through a dedicated touchpad.
The application enables shoppers to look for a specific brand or outlet in the mall and get directional information in 3D both in Arabic and English.
The other side of the furniture accommodates a 70” digital screen for advertising, allowing Elan Decaux to roll out the first premium digital retail network in the country, the statement noted.
Tzoulios Tzouliou, director of Villaggio, said: “After seven years of a successful partnership with Elan Decaux, we are glad to achieve a new milestone and launch together the digital directories. I am convinced that this new service will contribute to further enhance the unique shopping experience of our customers.”
Nicolas de Tapol, managing director of Elan Decaux, added: “We are delighted to reinforce our partnership with Villaggio mall, the preferred shopping destination in Qatar, through this new innovative service.”
