Under the patronage of HE Sheikh Abdulla bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Qatar University (QU) will host the ceremony to launch the fourth edition of the National CSR Report (Leaders’ Visions) tomorrow.
During the ceremony HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad al-Thani, president of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC), will be honoured as CSR Person of the Year 2015 in recognition of his role in supporting CSR and being a role model in inspiring the youth of Qatar.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior will present the report which will be distributed to all Qatari embassies around the world through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, one of the partners of the report. Other governmental partners include QOC, Ministry of Economy and Commerce Logistic Committee, and National Security Programme.
The academic report documents the achievements of national organisations in CSR, and monitors progress in social development and Qatar National Vision 2030.
The report which is part of an agreement between QU and the CSR Network, also honours leading companies in CSR, and is sponsored by a number of high-level organisations.
The main sponsor of the programme is Qatar Petroleum and the diamond sponsor is QNB while pearl sponsors are Qatar Central Bank, Sports and Social Activities Support Fund, and Qatar Primary Materials.
Platinum sponsors are HBK and Woqod and the gold sponsors are Aspire Zone, Astad Project Management, Hamad International Airport and Sasol Qatar, while Al Meera, UDC, McDonalds Qatar and Doha Bank are silver sponsors.
