Sheikha Hind appointed Qatar Foundation’s CEO

The Board of Directors of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) has appointed HE Sheikha Hind bint Hamad al-Thani as the chief executive officer. HE Sheikha Hind will also continue in her current role as vice chairperson of QF.
As CEO, Sheikha Hind will lead a unified executive team, for enhancing and implementing strategy and budget, driving performance, and strengthening the relationship with QF’s various partners and stakeholders.   
HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, chairperson of QF, said: “Due to our rapid growth and success, we are now at a key juncture in our history. To build QF’s continued success and impact into the future, we must now ensure that we are ready to meet the challenges of tomorrow. With this in mind, the Board of Directors has agreed to a new governance structure for the Foundation.”
The executive team, effective from April 3, 2016, will comprise Faisal Mohamed al-Suwaidi, president of Qatar Foundation Research and Development; Dr Ahmad M Hasnah, president of Hamad Bin Khalifa University; Buthaina al-Nuaimi, president of Pre-University Education; Fahad Saad al-Qahtani, president of Community Development; Sheikh Salman bin Hassan al-Thani, chief financial officer; Mayan Zebeib, chief communications officer; Mohamed Abdulaziz  al-Naimi, chief operations officer; Michael Mitchell, general counsel; Jassim Telefat, executive director, Capital Projects; and Omran Hamad al-Kuwari, executive director CEO office.
Saad Ibrahim al-Muhannadi, who has served as QF’s president since 2013, has been appointed as a lifetime member of the Board of Directors, in addition to his current role as member of the Board of Trustees.

    I hope this time HH Sheikha Hind will make QF focus on the priority of the priorities for Qatar, namely education and scientific research in the field of energy. Qatari kids should be prepared for the after carbon economy........
