Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) will take part in the 17th annual forum of the Arab Hospitals Federation, Medhealth.
The forum will start tomorrow in Cairo,  and the theme of the conference is “Challenges of excellence building in the Arab healthcare system.”
The forum, held in conjunction with the meeting of the Arab Health Ministers Council, provides an important stage for discussing healthcare developments in the Arab states.
The event is expected to include specialised debates involving various Arab health ministers as they meet with participants.
HMC is participating in the forum at the invitation of the Arab Hospitals Federation, and this is the eighth consecutive year that the Corporation is attending. The event is in line with HMC’s commitment to providing safe, compassionate and effective healthcare for all patients while remaining abreast of the latest developments in the healthcare sector.
Mohamed Mubarak al-Noimi, HMC’s chief of staff and chief of the managing director’s office said participating in the annual event is an important part of HMC’s strategy for remaining current with regional, global, health sector developments.
The forum also allows HMC to convey its vast healthcare experience and to introduce health developments in Qatar. Al-Noimi added: “The healthcare services provided by HMC are rated within the recognised standards at the global level in terms of quality and development; this was achieved through strong partnerships, including our partners in the academic and research areas, locally and globally.”
Ali Abdulla al-Khater, chief communications officer at HMC, said: “HMC’s participation in the annual forum provides an opportunity to highlight the health developments witnessed by Qatar, to enhance our organisation’s profile to key stakeholders and to showcase the Corporation’s services and vision for the future. It also provides us with an opportunity to share our focus on integrating research, education and clinical services to improve patient care and deliver innovative healthcare solutions by showcasing Qatar’s Academic Health System, the first within the Mena region.”
Topics of discussion at the forum are expected to include methods of preparing and qualifying future health sector leaders, challenges of building excellence in the healthcare system, trends shaping the future of the region’s healthcare and building a sustainable healthcare system.
