PM visits housing project in Tunisia
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani yesterday paid a visit to the Omar al-Mukhtar housing project in the Sijoumi district, Tunis. The project is funded by Qatar Friendship Fund (QFF). During the visit, the Prime Minister listened to a briefing on the final stages of the project, which includes 810 social housing units at a cost of $29mn, 40% in a form of a gift from the QFF and the 60% in a form of interest-free loan.

QDF donates $90mn for Swaziland
The Qatar Development Fund (QDF) yesterday signed a $90mn grant agreement with the Swaziland Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade for the Internet-led e-commerce (Traders-Link) project. In his speech on the occasion, Qatar’s ambassador in Mbabane Yousef bin Mohamed al-Mahmoud said that “we are proud to be the excellent sponsors for the project.”

HIA ranks joint second in 2015 ASQ Awards
Doha’s Hamad International Airport ranks joint second with Abu Dhabi International Airport in the Best Airport Middle East category of winners of the 2015 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards announced yesterday by Airports Council International (ACI) in Montreal. Jordan’s Queen Alia International Airport in Amman won the first place in the Middle East category while Saudi Arabia’s King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, Dubai International Airport and Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion International Airport came joint third.
