The General Directorate of Civil Defence has observed World Civil Defence Day with a special programme. The occasion is marked on March 1 every year.
The celebration at the Civil Defence officers’ club, held under the theme “Civil Defence, Latest Information Technology and Media”, was attended by Brig Aman Saad al-Sulaiti, assistant director-general of Civil Defence, along with directors and officers from Civil Defence and other departments at the Ministry of Interior.

He noted that the theme of this year’s celebration focused on developments in the use of state-of-the-art facilities and equipment for rescue operations.
