GCC Golf Championship 2016

Action from the third round of the 2016 GCC Golf Championships at the Doha Golf Club yesterday. Qatar’s Saleh Ali al-Kaabi continued his confident run in the tournament with another under-par round to tighten his grip on the lead. Al-Kaabi carded a two-under 70 for a three-shot lead at two-over with Bahrain’s Sager Diyab al-Noaimi second in the leaderboard with a total score of five-over. Al-Noaimi and Qatar’s Ali al-Shahrani both carded a par score of 72 yesterday, with al-Shahrani third on the leaderboard going into today’s final round. In the juniors’ category, Kuwait’s Ali al-Ansari has a nine-shot lead over second-placed Arnav Jain from Qatar. While al-Ansari is at 18 over to lead the category, Jain is at 27 over, with Bahrain’s Ahmed M Ahmed at 30 over for third spot going into the final round. PICTURES: Jayaram
