A large number of distinguished artists from around the world will take part in the second New York Times “Art for Tomorrow” conference to be held from
March 12 –15 in Doha.
Organised under the patronage of Qatar Museums and HE Sheikha Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, the conference supports Qatar Museums’ position as the nation’s focal point for connecting cultures, encouraging cultural exchange and nurturing creative talent.
Taking place at the W Doha Hotel, the conference brings together some of the world’s leading artists, curators, art collectors and museum directors. They will explore the complex relationships between the digital world and the creative process, the nature of creativity, its impact on developing cities and nations, and what goes into making a city ‘creative’.
“Art for Tomorrow” will also introduce delegates to important insights into the changing shape of Qatar’s arts and culture scene, the growing maturity of its creative community and its development as a progressive and artistic hub.
