Under the supervision of Qatar Basketball Federation’s (QBF) assistant secretary-general Mohammed al-Subaei, the draws of the Qatar Cup and the Emir Cup were held at the QBF headquarters yesterday. The Qatar Cup is due to begin on March 9 and will conclude on March 29. The Group A consists of Al Rayyan Club, Al Shamal, Qatar Sports Club, Al Ahli and Al Khor. The Group B teams are Al Gharafa, Al Wakrah, Al Arabi, Al Sadd and El Jaish. The prestigious Emir’s Cup, the season-ending domestic event, is scheduled to start on April 3. The final will be played on April 22. The 10 participating teams have been divided into two groups. The Group A has El Jaish, Al Gharafa, Qatar Sports Club, Al Khor and Al Arabi, while the Group B features Al Sadd, Al Ahli, Al Rayyan, Al Shamal and Al Wakrah.
