QPMC’s sustainable CSR initiatives honoured

Under the patronage of HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani, QPMC’s sustainable CSR initiatives were honoured during the launch ceremony of the fourth National CSR Report (Leaders’ Visions) at Qatar University recently in the presence of CSR Person of the Year 2015 HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad al-Thani, president of Qatar Olympic Committee.
With its efforts aimed at serving the community in Qatar, QPMC attaches a lot of significance to community programmes and events that contribute to the well-being of the Qatari community at large, according to a statement.
On this occasion, QPMC chief executive officer Eisa al-Hammadi said: “Serving the community is a key part of QPMC’s vision in achieving corporate social responsibility and sustainability development. “Our aim is to help contribute to the nationwide CSR initiatives, across various key pillars, and be at the forefront of achieving a sustainable CSR plan in alignment with our company’s prime programmes.”
These programmes include areas such as health, safety and environment management, workers’ well-being, blood donation campaigns, co-operation with Qatar University, traffic and road safety campaigns and co-operation with the National Human Rights Committee.
“QPMC aims, through its strategy and commitment to social responsibility programmes, to create long-term value for shareholders through responsibility and transparency in its social and economic goals, and the enhancement of the surrounding environment for the benefit of the community in accordance with the four pillars of Qatar National Vision 2030,” the statement notes.
