Frederik, the Crown Prince of Denmark and his wife visited Maersk Oil Qatar (MOQ) at the company’s West Bay headquarters recently. They were received by Maersk Oil CEO Jakob Thomasen, members of MOQ’s leadership team including Lewis Affleck, MOQ managing director and Sheikh Faisal bin Fahad al-Thani, MOQ Deputy Managing Director and MOQ staff. During the visit, the royal couple was given a tour of MOQ’s office where they had the opportunity to get an insight into the company’s business activities in Qatar and engage with MOQ staff, both onshore and offshore. The visit also highlighted how Danish and Qatari employees work closely together creating a “positive cultural and professional synergy.” Maersk Oil Qatar (MOQ) is the Qatari business unit of Maersk Oil, the oil division of Danish conglomerate the AP Moller Maersk Group.
