Ooredoo has donated QR200,000 to Educate A Child (EAC), a programme of the Education Above All Foundation (EAA).
The funds will be used for EAC projects in support of children around the world with no access to primary education due to poverty, conflict or natural disasters.  
Ooredoo raised the donation from entry fees for the different races at the Ooredoo Marathon 2016, which took place in January, as well as contributions from its central charity fund.
Founded in 2012 by HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, EAA aims to build a global movement that contributes to human, social and economic development through the provision of quality education.
Through its partnerships to date, EAC has commitments in place to enrol 6mn children.

Leena al-Derham, senior education specialist, EAC, thanked Ooredoo for its support and envisioned the gesture as the beginning of more collaboration in support of the issue of out of school children.

BMS pricing restructured
Ooredoo has announced a pricing restructure for its Business Messaging Service (BMS), a mobile marketing tool that enables companies to send bulk SMS to large groups of people. The company has reduced the local price of each package, and increased the number of message recipients in each. From today, businesses can subscribe to a range packages starting from 500,000 to 8,500,000 local messages per month with monthly fees as low as QR 30,000. Ooredoo’s BMS ‘Unlimited’ bundle will now see companies send up to 18mn SMS per month, an increase of 5mn messages at no extra cost.
