Mall of Qatar seals deal with Azadea Group

Mall of Qatar has signed a lease agreement with Azadea Group Holding, a fashion and lifestyle retail company that owns and operates more than 50 leading international franchise concepts across the Middle East and North Africa.
Under the agreement, Azadea Group will feature 15 of its most renowned global brands, which include an assortment of fashion, homeware, F&B and sportswear, across more than 10,000sq m of space within the mall.
Mall of Qatar general manager Rony Mourani signed the agreement with Azadea Group chief executive Said Daher.
Set to open on August 23, visitors to Mall of Qatar can experience Azadea’s new concept stores offering them a range of international brands, according to a statement.
These include Zara, Zara Home, Massimo Dutti, Oysho, Pull & Bear, Bershka, Virgin Megastore, Paul Café, Intimissimi, Calzedonia, Kiko, Salsa, I am, Peal Juice and a new entry into Qatar’s market: Eataly, the largest Italian marketplace in the world, comprising a variety of restaurants, food & beverage counters, bakery, retail items and a cooking school, the statement notes.
Commenting on the agreement, Mourani said: “While choosing a retail partner, we ensure that it is in line with our promise of getting top brands that will add real value to Mall of Qatar. Azadea Group is exactly the right fit as it will showcase a large variety of choices and brands – all under one roof.
“With the Azadea Group on board, we are confident that this world-class retailer will offer a unique shopping experience to discerning Qatar shoppers.”
Daher added: “We have a strong belief in the development strategy of the State of Qatar and are proud to be part of its promising vision. At Mall of Qatar, we are sure that we will grow further with our partners and hopefully stand out as a primary fashion, F&B and lifestyle provider.”
