Winners of the Qatar leg of Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup pose with their trophies.

The grand final of the tournament, one of the biggest amateur events in the world, will be held in Belek, Antalya, in October and November this year.
Mir was able to easily coast to victory during the tournament, which featured 88 players, all personally-invited guests of Turkish Airlines. By winning the competition in Qatar, Mir will now compete with several other finalists from around the world at the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup 2016.
Mir was able to secure the top place by accumulating 45 points, whilst Asif Kahn had to settle for second place following an impressive 41 points and Stuart Davies collected the third prize after his return of 40 points. Paul Kelly shot a three-over par 75 to win the best gross prize on countback and Kriyanti Setiyono and Simon Elliott won the men’s and ladies, nearest the pin prizes, respectively.
Kursad Caymaz, general manager of Turkish Airlines Qatar, said: “We would like to congratulate everyone who took part in the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup qualifier in Doha. It was a brilliant day for the game of golf and Mir was outstanding in her effort. We now look forward to hosting her at the grand finals in Belek this October.”
The 2016 series is a truly global affair, with more than 7,500 guests of the airline expected to take part in destinations including Hong Kong, Great Britain, South Korea, Japan, China, Spain, the United States, Portugal, Italy, France, Greece, Argentina, Brazil and Turkey.
The overall winner of the Grand Final progresses to play in the 2016 Turkish Airlines Open pro-am attended in the past by top golfers like Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy.
The event was backed by Global Sponsors Porsche, the Financial Times, Conte of Florence Official Clothing and Fashion Partner.
