Preparations are in the final stages for the opening of a major exhibition from 15 contemporary Chinese artists, curated by internationally acclaimed New York-based Chinese artist Cai Guo-Qiang.
The exhibition, titled ‘What About the Art? Contemporary Art from China,’ and a high point of the Qatar-China 2016 Year of Culture, is to run from March 14 to July 16 at the Qatar Museums Gallery Al Riwaq, Doha.
Artworks exemplifying each and every artist’s unique artistic language and methodology will be displayed in individual galleries, a curatorial approach further highlighting the distinctive creative pursuit of each individual participant.
Their diverse bodies of works include a series of paintings, sculptures, installations, videos, performances and interactive video game design.
