The first meeting of the committee tasked with following up the implementation of Doha Declaration was held at the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Vienna yesterday.
HE Dr Abdullah al-Mal, Adviser to the Minister of Interior, chaired Qatari delegation to the meeting which was attended by Dr Ahmed Hassan al-Hammadi, director, the department of legal affairs at the Foreign Ministry, and Ali Khalfan al-Mansouri, Qatar’s ambassador and permanent representative to the United Nations and international
organisations in Vienna.
The UNODC delegation was headed by John Brandolino, UNODC’s Division for Treaty Affairs. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the progress made in the implementation of the funding agreement, and discussed projects that can be accomplished by the end of 2016.
