The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) has received more than 60 complaints during its four-day observance of World Consumer Rights Day at City Center Doha.
According to the CRA, the complaints were mainly about billing, network coverage, roaming charges, service disconnections, spam, premium services and delays in activation and installation.
With an estimated 50,000 visitors on weekends and 40,000 on weekdays, CRA was able to engage face-to-face citizens and residents at City Center Doha. Its consumer affairs department is planning more engagements and outreach activities to enhance consumer awareness.
Yesterday, the CRA concluded World Consumer Rights Day with a visit by HE Jassim Seif Ahmed al-Sulaiti the Minister of Transport and Communications at the CRA booth. March 15 is marked internationally to promote the basic rights of all consumers, and to encourage protection of these rights.
