Spice Boat, a leading multi-cuisine restaurant in Doha’s West Bay, has celebrated its third anniversary by announcing five new restaurants in and around the capital city.
“We want more people across Doha to be able to have a taste of the most authentic and tantalising multi-cuisine experience on offer in the city,” Spice Boat CEO and executive chairperson Mallika Sukumaran said at a press conference.
The venture is managed by the Rotana Group.
The new restaurants are at Al Jazi Village-Al Jazi Sports Academy, Gharaffa ; Al Areen Tower, West Bay; Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim al-Thani Museum, Shahaniya (2); and Mashreq Bank New head office, Bank Street, Doha.
Sukumaran, a veteran Indian film personality, was accompanied by her sons and prominent film stars Indrajith and Prithviraj.
“The ambience and food on offer at Spice Boat is overwhelming. I always try to pay a visit every time I am in Qatar,” said Prithviraj, who has played the leading role in over 75 Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu movies, in addition to being a playback singer and producer.
Indrajith expressed happiness that Spice Boat has met the expectations of the Doha crowd and is sailing smooth since its launch in 2013. “We thank our customers and hope our new outlets will be welcomed with the same enthusiasm,” the actor added.
Rotana Group officials, who were also present at the press conference, vouched for the restaurant’s unique savoury treats.
“We are happy to be a part of this success and are always eager to serve more people in Doha with our experience in the industry” Rotana officials said.
“Spice Boat is famous for expert chefs who whip up delectable treats ranging from juicy and perfectly cooked tandoori starters to the desserts,” Sukumaran added.
