Bowling efforts of Qadeer, Mujeeb win matches for Rawal County, Al Feroz

Qadeer and Mujeeb Khan conjured up inspired bowling performances for their respective teams and set up massive wins in the Qatar Airways National Division A Cricket League.
Rawal County were shot out for a meagre 133 in 36 overs by Desert Warriors but they staged a gritty return into the match at the West Bay Grounds. Qadeer snapped five wickets and lifted his team to an exciting 37-run triumph.
Asif (34) was the main contributor for Rawal County. Cameos by Moazam (17) and Dilshant (15) were useful. Ashar led the collapse of Rawal County with three dismissals. Naouman, Talha and Mirza grabbed two wickets each.
In reply, Desert Warriors could only reach 96 in 31 overs. Abdullah (20) resisted the rival bowling the most. Besides Qadeer’s five, Khawaja bagged three and Hadi picked two to complete the superb triumph.
In another match, Mujeeb Khan produced a stellar seven-wicket haul to lead Al Feroz to a huge 236-run victory against Bangla Tigers. Batting first, Al Feroz put up 283 for seven in 45 overs with Qalandar (74), Faisal (61) and Ashraf (60) smashing breezy half-centuries.
Mujeeb wrecked the rivals with his devastating spell and sent them crashing to 47 all out in just 18 overs. Layton got the maximum 23 runs. Harris got the remaining three wickets.
Ooredoo DCC negated two fine individual performances from Alladitta and Babu before beating Qatari Diar by 52 runs in the third match. Alladitta’s four wickets were the highlight of the first innings.
After having made 206 all out in 45 overs, in which Shahid (49) and Tabrez (28) came up with fighting knocks, Ooredoo restricted the opponents to 154 all out in 39 overs. Besides a fine 60 by Babu, other players could not combine their efforts and lost the match. Murtaza accounted for three batsmen, while Tabrez, Abbas and Awais collected two scalps each.
The Qatar Cricket Association (QCA), in association with its long-time partner Qatar Airways, has been organising the national league to promote the sport and groom the players at the international standard.
